What install day involves
The crew does the whole thing. The channel goes up along the planned lines and matches the trim. Wiring gets tucked and routed out of sight, and the system gets tied into power and set up on the app. Before the crew leaves, you get shown how to run it, so you can actually use it that evening.
Business installs
A commercial job follows the same order: consultation, design, install. The difference is usually when the crew can be on site. Most businesses do not want ladders in front of the entrance at lunch, so the work gets timed around business hours.
Come prepared
You do not have to do homework, though a couple of answers help. Think about which parts of the property you use after dark. Think about whether you want December color, nightly light, or both, since that shapes the plan. And look at your own house after dark once, because dark spots are obvious then and invisible at two in the afternoon.
